Certain script mods (like the Simple Passenger script) require both Alexander Blade's Script Hook and this Community Script Hook V. NETĪ version of Script Hook that allows scripts written in. That's pretty much it! Most script mods you download will have a single. On Steam, it's 'Steam\steamapps\common\Grand Theft Auto V'. Take dinput8.dll and ScriptHookV.dll (and the trainer, if you want it) and put them in your GTA 5 game directory, wherever GTA5.exe is located. It allows for all sorts of cheats in single-player, like changing your skin, changing the time of day, teleportation, invincibility, and more.

Just be sure to use the download link inside the table on the bottom-right: there are advertisements on that page that also say they are downloads. Here is the link Blade provides to download ScriptHook. The original is linked to steam, so when I try to launch the copy of the original folder that I've placed to another location, it's complaining about not being launched via steam but when I sign into steam, it automatically launching the original un-modded one. Most of the current mods are scripts, and to get them working you'll need the latest version of Script Hook, created by Alexander Blade. So how does it change anything if the contents of the scripts folders could be found at anywhere else too? I mean the program by default should be looking for the files inside the script folder, so what does it matter if they're accessible at another place too?Īlso I'll do the re-copy of the original folder - again - which shall count as a "clean install" but how I'll even launch the copy?

I don't see the issue, as the things that are supposed to be in the scripts folder are in there, and the "accessory mods" that were recommended to be used in combination with the real life mod got the install description saying "Copy the *.asi, the *.ini, and the LeFixSpeedo folder into the Grand Theft Auto V main folder.". On a clean install you'll need to create a folder named "scripts" and pay attention to each component's "Installation" location described on their respective pages, because some of them need to go into the main GTAV folder and some into the scripts folder. Thanks to the patience and help of u/Blaxoutalot I've finally managed to get the mod to work, so to anyone who is attempting to use this mod or anything that's similar, the list of required things may help:Īnd you may need the OpenIV if you plan to add cars and other stuff, but it's ain't necessary for the Real Life Mod.

GTA 5 REAL LIFE MOD INSTALL HOW TO
TL DR: I'd need a step-by-step guide about how to install MODs in general, using the Real Life MOD as example - got the "trainer" working, but nothing else. So I've thought I'll ask the community of this subreddit, because it seems there are plenty of MODs to go around and many of you enjoying them, so you surely have managed to figure out the installation methods that are actually working. I've managed to have the "trainer" working, and it's really fun to run around like the Flash or leap over buildings, jump from truck to truck on the highway, but it doesn't offer content. My current goal would be to install the Real Life MOD, and I've followed the step-by-step instructions on the page but when I'm loadin' the game up ain't nothing changed.

Since GTAOnline is a bit of a bust, due to the clunky team creation and rampant hacker presence, I've thought it'd be really good to try some of the "conversion" mods on the singleplayer, BUT - there's always a but - I can't figure out how to install them or how to make them work. So I've been a fan of GTA since the very-very-very first top-down-view release and GTAV is a really well crafted, beautiful open world to fool around in once the story is done.
